About Us

Our Story

From Hampshire mates tearing up the local crits in 2013 to a powerhouse squad in 2024. Over the years riders and sponsors have changed but our moto remains; to have fun, support one another and to win.

Adding a female squad in 2021 was a game-changer, showing our commitment to supporting women’s cycling, alongside our established men’s team.

Since 2013, we’ve been the underdog team that refuses to stay small. We tear up local, national, and international races while keeping the vibe fun. Road, track, TT, hill climbs – you name it, we conquer it. Our riders, both men and women, are unstoppable, racking up wins, National Championship titles, World Championship medals, and several have gone on to professional cycling careers.

Now, in 2024, we’re levelling up our community with the Stolen Goat Race Club. It’s our way of giving back and supporting the next wave of racers. Whether you’re chasing glory or just out for a good time, join our incredible community and let’s ride!

Why we are different?

We want to win. But to do so as part of a team whilst having fun and supporting each other. We don’t seek to be the biggest team but by working hard and enjoying what we do we compete at the highest level of our sport at home and abroad. A small team constantly punching above our weight.

To Race

It’s in our blood and our motivation
to train hard.

To Win

Every time we pin on a number
we aim to win.

To have fun

Because having fun is why we ride bikes

Simon Jodrell

Team Manager

Involved with the team as a rider since 2015 and managing the team since 2020 I’ve seen an incredible amount of development from riders over the years with some amazing results across all levels and many different disciplines.
From riders bagging their first win to riders going on to professional careers and building valuable relationships with sponsors it is an incredibly fulfilling role that I’m lucky to enjoy.

2024 sees further evolution of the team. We will continue to push for results as we encourage others to begin their racing journey with the launch of Stolen Goat Race Club.

Jo Bates

Welfare Officer

In her third year with the team Jo not only acts as welfare officer for both the Team and Club but is also a dab hand in the feed zone and invaluable training camp support car driver having mastered the mountain roads of Andalusia.

With her day job encompassing the role of Team Manager for the GB Rowing Team through 4 Olympics (& counting!) and numerous World Rowing Championships and World Cups, her insight into an athlete’s needs are second to none.

Dr Tom Kirk

Coach

Tom has been involved with the team from the early days as a rider, mentor and coach.

Between racing, raising a family, coaching Pro riders, Paralympic Champions, a World Hour Record holder and running challenging training camps in the Sierra Nevada, Tom has his work cut out.

With his background as a coach and his European racing past Tom has a wealth of experience for both the team and club to draw from.

Stephen Bradbury

Directeur Sportif (DS) & Rider

After a fantastic stint with us with many wins Stephen graduated from our team to a professional cycling career racing at the top level on road and track in events such as the Tour de Yorkshire and the Six Day track series around the world.

The experience that Stephen brings to the team is invaluable in helping our riders prepare for our bigger races in the UK and Europe. Being on hand to answer questions and offer advice when needed is a huge benefit to the whole team.
